Although it seems clean to switch to Timetastic at your year-end, many new customers start mid-year, and in doing so they tend to input their leave data back to the beginning of the year. It's a sensible idea as you end up with a complete annual record on one system.
Although we don't offer an upload facility for historical time off, creating them is not too difficult if you follow these tips:
- If an Admin user inputs the data then it skips the approval process and the time off is fully booked in.
- If you click the day and staff member on the Wall Chart (or a user's calendar) then the booking form pops up pre-populated. You can also click and drag across multiple dates to highlight a range to input e.g. a weeks leave.
- Timetastic would normally send a confirmation email out to users for each time off booking. You can avoid this by removing user email addresses from their profiles while you put the data in.
