If your schedules often repeat, using the Copy feature lets you create future rotas in seconds rather than manually re-entering the same shifts each day or week.
Firstly, select whether to copy a day's or a week's worth of shifts by clicking 'Day' or 'Week' from the filter at the top of your Rota:
Next, click the 'Copy' button in the top right
Select the day or week you wish to copy from in the 'Source' calendar on the left hand side:
Next, select which day or week to copy to in the 'Destination' calendar on the right hand side. You can select multiple days/weeks - which will be listed underneath.
Note: The location and positions you're copying are outlined on the left. You can change these in the Rota by using the filters before copying.
The 'Options' let you manage what else will be copied; such as notes, resources, sub-positions, etc.
Click 'Copy'.
Note: The copied rota will be in draft and won't be automatically published.
Managing conflicts
When you copy the rota onto a future date, this may create conflicts (eg. an employee who usually works on Fridays has been allocated time off).
In these cases, you'll be warned of the upcoming conflict(s) and you'll be able to handle them afterwards.
Publishing shifts
Once the copying process is completed, you'll be taken to the destination day/week/month. From here you can see all copied shifts are in draft (with dotted lines) and any arising conflicts can be managed from the alert centre. Once you're happy with everything, remember to click 'Publish'.
