The Burnout Board
The Burnout Board is entirely new and totally unique to Timetastic. Its purpose is to help you keep a healthy and productive workforce. After all, well rested staff are healthy and productive staff.
You'll find the Burnout Board at the lower portion of the Insights page.
Select INSIGHTS from the main menu.
Here's an example of what you'll see:
What does this all mean?
The board ranks your team to give you an indication of who might be overworking and not taking enough time off for R&R.
It's there to guide you, to shine a light on situations you probably want to avoid:
- Who's not taken much time off.
- Who's got nothing arranged for the coming months.
- Who's still got lots of allowance left, especially as you approach year end.
- Who's got long periods of time at work with no time off.
When someone appears on the board you'll see additional info to highlight the situation, so you can have a sensible discussion with your colleague.
In the above screenshot you can see Verity Vaughn is the most at risk, she's got the number one spot on the board. She hasn't had a day off for 3 months, hasn't got anything booked for the rest of the year, and has 25 days allowance left. That's probably a good basis for a chat, we'd be encouraging Verity to use some of her holiday allowance soon.
How often does it update?
The Burnout Board changes all the time, every time a booking is made there is new data to consider, every time you reload the page the ranking is refreshed, sometimes no difference, other times you'll see people vanish off the board i.e. they have probably arranged some time off and fallen below the threshold of concern.
The board shows you the state of play now, this very minute.
Accuracy of the Board
There's a lot of data points and calculations that go into producing the Burnout Board ranking. To make sure what you see is a fair reflection you want accuracy in the data in Timetastic.
- Check all your bookings in Timetastic are accurate
- Make sure annual allowances are correct
- Employment start dates are completed and accurate
- Your Leave Types in SETTINGS > LEAVE TYPES are setup correctly
- Departments have the right people in
Algorithm updates
As you might have guessed this is all driven by a proprietary algorithm. We've been working and tweaking for a long time. And yet we know it's not perfect and situations will crop up where you believe someone should or shouldn't be on the board, or someone is ranking higher than another and it doesn't seem to make sense.
We'd love to hear from you, we're far from the end of the story and are continually working to improve the algorithm - your real life examples will help massively.
