If your business is changing ownership or someone else will be taking over as the main account administrator, you can transfer your Rota & Time Clock account without losing any of your data.
The easiest way to do this is to create a new administrator, let them take over the account, then archive the previous administrator's profile.
Step 1: Add the new administrator
First, create a profile for the new account owner:
Go to HR > Employees
Click 'Add employee'
Enter their details
Assign them the Administrator role
Send them an invitation to join the account.
The invitation can be sent when you create the employee, or later from the Invitations tab.
Note: Only an administrator can create another administrator. If you don't have administrator access, you'll need to ask an existing administrator to complete this step.
Step 2: Archive the previous administrator
Once the new administrator has accepted their invitation and can access the account, the previous administrator can archive their own profile.
To do this:
Go to HR > Employees
Find the employee profile
Click the three dots next to their name
Select Archive.
Important: As soon as a profile is archived, that person will immediately lose access to the account.
Step 3: Update the billing details
If the account's billing information needs updating, the new administrator can edit it at any time.
Go to Billing
Next to Billing address, click the pencil icon
3. Under Billing information, click 'Update information' to edit the billing contact name and email address.
4. Click '+ Add payment method' to add new card details (or set up a D/D).
Once the new payment method has been added, you can delete the old one.
Note: If you prefer, you can update the payment details before archiving the previous administrator's profile.
