If you're using the Time Clock app with photo capture enabled, Rota & Time Clock can help identify clock-ins and clock-outs that may need a closer look.
How it works
When employees clock in or out using the Time Clock app, a photo is taken at the time of the clocking event.
The system uses the most recently approved photo as a reference and compares future photos against it.
If a new photo doesn't appear to match the employee's reference photo, Rota & Time Clock will flag the time entry and create an alert for review.
This helps managers spot potential clocking issues, such as employees clocking in on behalf of someone else.
Reviewing suspicious photos
When a photo is flagged, you can review it directly from the employee's timesheet or attendance records.
You'll have the option to:
Approve the photo if it is the correct employee
Reject the photo if it appears to be someone else
Once you've made your decision, the alert will be cleared.
Why approvals matter
Every time you approve or reject a flagged photo, Rota & Time Clock learns from that decision.
Over time, this helps improve the accuracy of the facial recognition system and reduces the number of false alerts.
Good to know
The system only uses photos taken during clock-in and clock-out.
Managers remain in control of the final decision.
A flagged photo is simply a warning and does not automatically mean there is a problem.
