You may want to add a new location if you need to separate out larger departments. If you're unsure whether to create a new location or an organisation, our article here explains what to consider.
Locations are in the same organisation, so they can share employees and have a combined invoice. If you need to split those, we recommend creating an organisation instead.
Why have different locations?
Locations are a useful way to effectively structure your account. Each location has:
It's own Rota view
A different clock-in zone (geofencing)
The option to allocate different employees and managers
Adding a new location
To add a location to your organisation, head to Setting > Locations then click on 'Add a location'.
Enter the name and address of the location, then click 'Save'.
Edit or delete a location
To make updates or to delete a location, head to Setting > Locations then click on
'Edit' under the relevant location.
From here you can:
1. Edit the name
2. Edit the address
3. Delete the location
Note: Only administrators can create and manage locations.
Switching locations in the Rota
To switch between locations in the Rota, simply click on the location filter in the top left.
If you have multiple locations they will appear above your positions.
Note: They will be in the funnel on the top left of the Rota if you are on a small screen.
