Wallchart and Calendar
Now you've upgraded to Timetastic you've got a digital Wallchart and a new Calendar at your fingertips 📆
In this guide we'll show you a few screenshots of the Wallchart and Calendar and give you a quick rundown of the key features:
1. The Wallchart
The Wallchart is your online representation of the old fashioned wall planner. It focuses in on your department, showing you who's off and when.
You can easily spot issues, perhaps if you're at risk of being short staffed. You can see busy periods and any clashes that need looking at.
And of course you can work out when's a good time to book a holiday.
Left and right navigation arrows near the top left allow you to look forward, and back, through the months of the year.
To book a day off you can click the relevant day, or click and drag across dates and you'll be presented with a pre-populated booking form, like this:
2. Setting your favourites ⭐️
You'll notice on the Wallchart you're viewing everyone in your own department. But if you work in a team that crosses departments, or on a project, you might need a customised view.
You can create one using the favourites function.
It's just a case of highlighting those team members using the gold star to their left, as you can see here:
Then you can view your list of favourites by selecting 'My favourites' from the 'Filter' option at the top left:
3. Setting your default
When you first sign in the default view on your Wallchart will be the department you are in.
You can change this though, use the 'Filter' option at the top left of the Wallchart to select other options and you'll see the 'Set as default' link appear.
Just click to set.
4. Your Calendar
Your Calendar gives an annual representation of your holidays. By looking at a full year on a single screen you can plan your own time off better.
You can see if you've been working flat out with no time off, any upcoming leave, or perhaps so you can check at the end of the year to see where all your holiday allowance went.
As with the Wallchart, click on any day to book it off.
