How to reopen a fixed terminal on a computer

If your fixed terminal has been closed or stopped working, employees won't be able to clock in and out until it's reopened.

Only users with a Manager or Administrator role can reopen a fixed terminal.

Reopen a fixed terminal

  1. Sign in to your Rota & Time Clock account

  2. Make sure you're using a Manager or Administrator account

  3. Go to Attendance

  4. Click onto the Fixed terminals tab

  5. Find the terminal you want to reopen

  6. Click the three dots next to the terminal

  7. Select Open this terminal.

The fixed terminal will reopen and employees can start clocking in and out again.

Tips

To make the terminal easier to access in future, consider:

  • Bookmarking the terminal page in your browser

  • Adding a shortcut to the computer desktop

  • Setting the page to open automatically when the device starts up

Can't see the option to reopen the terminal?

If you're struggling to reopen the terminal, check that you're signed in with a Manager or Administrator account.

Users with an Employee or Supervisor role don't have permission to manage fixed terminals.

If you're unsure who has access, contact an account administrator for help.
