Manage your notifications

How to set alerts, notifications and shift reminders

Rota & Time Clock lets you choose which notifications you receive and how you receive them, so you only get updates that matter to you.

Note: Notification preferences are personal. Managers and administrators can't change them for you.


How to update your notification preferences

Notification settings can be managed from the website app.

  1. Sign in to your Rota & Time Clock account

  2. Click your profile in the top right corner

  3. Select My notifications

  4. Choose how you'd like to receive notifications and which notifications you'd like to enable

Choose how you receive notifications

You can receive notifications through:

  • Email (enabled by default)

  • Mobile app (download the app and allow notifications on your device)


Available notifications

My rota

Stay up to date with changes to your schedule.

You can choose to be notified when:

  • You're assigned a new shift

  • New open shifts become available

  • You're scheduled outside your availability

  • One of your shifts is deleted

  • You forget to clock in

  • Your shift is about to start (you can choose how long before your shift you'd like the reminder)

My requests

Receive updates about your requests.

You can be notified when:

  • A time off request is approved or declined

  • An availability request is approved or declined

  • A shift swap or transfer request is approved or declined

  • An open shift request is approved

Other notifications

Stay informed about activity across your organisation.

You can receive notifications when:

  • A News Feed post is published or updated

  • Your availability is changed by a manager

  • Someone comments on a post you're following

  • You receive a new Messenger message

  • Someone sends you a High Five

  • A new survey is available

  • A survey reminder is sent

Once you've set your preferences, Rota & Time Clock will only notify you about the events you've chosen, using your preferred notification method.
