Need to add a shift or book time off for an employee in quarter, half or full days?
This feature lets you record days worked in your employees' attendance sheets.
1. Calculation in days for employees
This setting is switched on individually within your employees' profiles.
Head to HR > Employees and click the employee's name to option their profile.
Click on 'Settings'
Switch on the 'Calculate in days' option
Enter the length of a day in hours
2. Add a shift calculated as a 'day'
When you create a shift for an employee who has the 'Calculate in days' setting switched on, you'll need to choose between 'full', 'half' and 'quarter' day to set a duration, as well as indicate the start time.
The start time won't show on the rota. You and your employee will only see the length of the day based on the option selected.
Note: The calculation of hours will now be shown in days for this employee.
If needed, you can disable the calculation in days for a specific shift by unticking this option. Once switched off, the start and end times for this shift can be entered without affecting the calculation in days for other shifts.
3. Managing time off in days
For employees who have the 'Calculate in days' setting switched on; they'll have the option to request time off as a full day, half day, or quarter day.
When approving their leave, you'll see their time bank balances in days.
4. Timesheets in days
In the employee's timesheets page, you will need to display the subtotal of hours in order to see the calculation in days.
By default, the start and end times will be displayed in the timesheet along with the calculation of hours, except for leave calculated in days.
In the summary of your timesheets, you will see the total in days or hours, depending on the type of calculation selected for each employee.
