Personalised overtime

How to use the personalised overtime setting

Personalised overtime gives you full control over how overtime is recorded on a timesheet.

Instead of relying on the organisation's automatic overtime rules, you can manually decide how many hours should be treated as overtime for a specific time entry.

This is useful when overtime needs to be handled on a case-by-case basis or when you need to make adjustments that don't follow the usual overtime settings.

Adding personalised overtime

To manually set overtime for a time entry:

  1. Open the employee's timesheet

  2. Click on the time entry you'd like to update

  3. Enter the number of overtime hours you'd like to apply

  4. Click Save.

The specified hours will be recorded as overtime for that time entry.

Important information

When you add personalised overtime, the employee's regular hours will be adjusted accordingly.

For example, if an 8-hour shift contains 2 hours of personalised overtime, the timesheet will show:

  • 6 regular hours

  • 2 overtime hours

This ensures the total hours worked remain unchanged while accurately reflecting the overtime you've assigned.
