Not every alert in a timesheet needs to be fixed before you can process payroll.
Some alerts are simply there to draw your attention to something unusual, but they won't stop you from approving timesheets or exporting payroll. These are known as non-blocking alerts.
If you're happy with the information shown, you can simply ignore these alerts to keep your timesheets tidy and easier to review.
Which alerts can be ignored?
The following alerts are considered non-blocking:
Missing time entry
Dubious photos
Time entry discrepancies
These alerts won't prevent payroll from being processed.
Ignoring Alerts Individually
If you'd like to ignore a specific alert:
Open the employee's timesheet
Hover over the alert indicator
Click 'Ignore alerts'.
The alert will be removed from the timesheet view.
Ignoring Alerts in Bulk
Need to clear multiple alerts at once?
You can ignore all non-blocking alerts for a pay period in a single action.
Simply hover over the 'Pay alerts' icon in the top-left corner of the timesheet and choose the option to 'Ignore alerts'.
š” Only non-blocking alerts will be ignored.
Any alerts that require action will remain visible so they can be reviewed and resolved before approval.
What happens when you finalise a pay period?
When a pay period is finalised, any remaining non-blocking alerts are automatically ignored.
This means you'll end up with a clean, finalised pay period without needing to manually clear every informational alert first.
Don't worry - only non-blocking alerts are cleared automatically. Any alerts that require attention must still be resolved before the timesheet can be fully approved.
