Forgot to clock in or out?

I forgot to clock - what can I do?

If you've forgotten to clock in or out, don't panic. There are a few ways to let your manager know so your timesheet can be updated correctly.

If you forgot to clock in

Clocking in after you've already started work

If you realise you've forgotten to clock in shortly after arriving, simply clock in as normal and leave a note for your manager.

  1. Select Clock

  2. Enter your arrival time and a brief explanation in the Note field

  3. Click Clock in

Your manager will see the note when reviewing your timesheet and can make any necessary adjustments.

Realised when starting your break

If you try to start a break without having clocked in first, the system will let you know.

Simply:

  1. Enter the time you arrived at work

  2. Add a reason

  3. Tap Clock in

The system will record both your clock-in and the start of your break.

When you return from your break, clock back in as normal.

Realised when leaving work

If you attempt to clock out without having clocked in, the system will prompt you to enter the missing information.

  1. Enter the time you arrived

  2. Add a reason

  3. Tap Clock in

The system will record both your start and end times, and your manager will be able to review the entry.

If you forgot to clock out

If your workplace uses a fixed terminal or computer

Once you've left work, you won't be able to clock out remotely.

Instead, leave a comment on your timesheet:

  1. Go to Timesheet by tapping the clock icon on your main menu

  2. Click the comments option at the top

  3. Enter a note explaining that you forgot to clock out

  4. Click Send

Your manager will be notified and can update your timesheet.

If your workplace uses mobile clocking

If your organisation allows employees to clock out away from the workplace, you can still record your finish time after you've left.

  1. Open the clocking screen

  2. Select Leaving work

  3. Enter the time you finished

  4. Add a reason

  5. Tap Clock out

Your manager will be able to review and approve the change.

Note: If your organisation does not allow off-site clock-outs, you'll need to leave a comment on your timesheet or contact your manager instead.
