Sometimes we see a situation where a sole admin user on your account leaves your employment, meaning no one at your organisation has access to account settings.
This is undoubtedly problematic, but hopefully the following steps will help you out of this pickle:
Firstly, (and apologies if this piece of advice is too late now) to help prevent this situation occurring in the first place - please do have two admin users, so you have a backup and to avoid this situation.
Company email domain
The route to solve your account recovery issue is to gain access to the leavers email account.
If the leavers account is registered to a company email then you are in luck, your IT team will be able to get access to that email address and solve this for you without too much hassle:
Once they get access to the address:
1. Trigger a password reset to access their account
2. Create new admin users as appropriate
Free email domains - gmail, hotmail, yahoo etc
In this instance you'll need to contact the ex employee and get them to login and make someone else an admin user - following steps 2. and 3. as above.
Once that's done you can archive the account of the ex employee.
Path of last resort
If neither of these methods works then do contact us and we can see what other route will work, but please understand that Admin Users get access to all your private data - we here at Timetastic can't make someone else an admin user based on a simple request. We have to ensure that the request comes from someone properly authorised within your organisation. We'll have to work out what that might be in your instance, it could take a long time too. We'll have to consider things like Directors that are listed on Companies house, maybe even a court order - please understand that it's unlikely to be easy.
